Lorena ISD is grateful for the men and women who have served and are currently serving in the United States Military. We will again honor our nation’s Veterans this year with different events hosted by each LISD school. 

Retired U.S. Army Staff Sergeant Jason Voss, Lorena class of 2000, will be the featured speaker at the LMS and LHS programs. After graduation Staff Sergeant Voss joined the Army and served for over 15 years. During his service Staff Sergeant Voss was deployed to Afghanistan and Iraq. He was awarded the Bronze Star, Purple Heart for being wounded in battle, Army Commendation for Valor in Combat, the Combat Infantryman Badge and the Expert Infantryman Badge.
